  We respectfully submit that the construction of the above-mentioned project is presently under progress. However, the project could not be completed within the stipulated timeline i.e., December 2025, due to the following unavoidable circumstances beyond our control: 1. Drought Conditions (2023–24): The project was adversely affected due to severe drought conditions prevailing during the year 2023–24, resulting in a slowdown of construction activities for approximately four months. 2. Technical Issues on PMAY Portal: Due to issues relating to gender correction on the PMAY portal, we were unable to upload beneficiary details in a timely manner. This resulted in a delay of approximately four months in receipt of the Government subsidy. 3. Heavy Rainfall (2025–26): Excessive rainfall during the year 2025–26 further impacted the progress of construction work. 4. Financial Constraints of EWS Beneficiaries: The beneficiaries under the project, belonging to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), faced difficulties in availing housing loans from banks due to the absence of income tax returns. Consequently, there was a delay in receipt of payments towards the flats. We further submit that, as per the above-referred letter issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, the PMAY-U Mission has been extended up to 30th September 2026 for completion of already sanctioned and ongoing projects. The present project squarely falls within the said category. We are pleased to inform that a scheduled bank has now agreed to extend housing loan facilities to the beneficiaries, and the process has recently commenced, which is expected to improve the pace of collections and construction. In view of the above facts and circumstances, and considering the extension granted by the Government of India under PMAY-U, we humbly request your good office to grant an extension of time up to 30th September 2026 for completion of the project. A copy of the above-referred Government letter dated 27.02.2026 is enclosed herewith for your kind perusal. We request your kind consideration and approval.
